Contact printers

Filmwerkplaats houses two Bell + Howell Model C continuous contact printers.

Continuous printers operate at high speed for contact printing rushes, answer and release prints, with or without optical sound. Negative and receiving stocks are placed together in the gate, emulsion-to-emulsion, resulting in a relatively steady and highly resolved duplication.

It is possible to correct and even radically alter the colour balance and look of the receiving print scene-by-scene by grading with the integrated light valves.
