Sound on film facilities

While the final mix of a film's soundtrack might have been recorded on magnetic stock, for print distribution, an optical soundtrack negative is made which can then be printed alongside the image on positive print film.

At Filmwerkplaats, sound negative printing can be done using the Klangfilm Eurocord 16mm optical sound negative printer, and the MWA MB-41 perfotape playback-recorder allows seamless synchronisation of soundtracks on magnetic film.
